Dean has spent 16 years managing pool and spa manufacturing, sales and installation, including time at Barrier Reef Pools head office where he set up the NSW dealer network. Amanda spent over 33 years at Qantas managing staff operations and resource planning, and now makes sure every client gets the best possible service.

What goes into an Illawarra pool build
Every block is different, from flat coastal lots to steep escarpment sites. These are the three things we sort out before your pool goes in.
Approvals: CDC or DA
A complying development certificate (CDC) is the fast-track route when your pool meets the NSW standard rules, such as sitting behind the building line with the waterline at least 1m from side and rear boundaries. If your block doesn't fit those rules, a development application (DA) goes to Wollongong, Shellharbour or Kiama council. We work out which applies and manage it for you.
Fence and pool rules
Every NSW pool needs a compliant child-resistant barrier, a CPR sign and registration on the NSW Swimming Pool Register. We factor the barrier into your layout from the first site visit, so your pool area works with the rules. See the details on our swimming pools Illawarra page.
Your site, checked
On your site visit we look at slope and soil, any rock that could slow the dig, side access for machinery and the crane, and where sewer and stormwater lines run. That way your quote reflects your actual block, not a guess.
